The founders decide to run an "Open Field Observation on Perceived Employee's Happiness". Their goal? Steer this ship in the right direction:
It's the first week of September 2020 when Sebastian and Ivo, Co-Founders of Collato decide to assess the levels of happiness among the members of their team. How does the team like being a member of Collato? Do they enjoy each other's presence?
In order to get to the bottom of their query, they decide to embark the whole team on a boat trip. The Spree, a noteworthy amount of beers, a grill, ice-cream for everyone and lots of time to observe their employees having fun. Clear excitement on the faces of the co-founders can be detected in picture 1, as they raise anchor and prepare to grill and observe their employees' behaviors.

Sebastian, CTO, is the first to inquire on the satisfaction of his team. Picture 2 is indeed displaying a group of software engineers caught in the act of socializing: an event that might sound rare to the reader, and yet occurs very frequently during office hours at Collato.

In Picture 3, 4 & 5, the viewer can find three documented instances of what is, in most companies, considered a somewhat more infrequent behavior, namely the "Software Engineer Publicly Displaying Emotions". With three degrees of happiness, you can notice how Kartal is unmistakably smiling, how Rafa is undeniably about to laugh and how John is instead giving a loud, hearty laugh.

A further undeniable clue suggesting the team is indeed close-knit and intimate can be found in picture 6. On John's face, the viewer can easily distinguish the joy with which he's welcoming Sara's decision to rehearse Dolphin songs - more on that to be found in the chronicles of the team's Workation in Croatia.

After a brief consultation, documented in Picture 7, Sebastian and Ivo declare that sufficient proof has been gathered concerning the coolness of the Engineering Team. It's now time to focus on the rest of the departments.
