Once upon a time, Sebastian and Ivo worked together at Zalando. If it hadn't been for their collaborative experience, we wouldn't be here today. At the fashion giant, Ivo and Sebastian noticed there was this need for an effective collaboration platform for creative minds. Often the creative department struggled bringing a project from ideation to reality – as feedback kept getting lost in long email threads – and visual content wasn't aligned for the whole team.
Rumor has it that it was during a lunch that took place somewhere in Berlin at some point during the Summer of 2019. There, Ivo presented Sebastian with a plan to start a company together. After Sebastian's "I do", months were spent figuring out logistics about investors, doing workshops together for user research. At last, towards the end of 2019, Sebastian recruited a handful of trusted disciples he had met along his journey and then things started to take shape.
Although with name that sounds more well suited for a medicine, Spectopad was created, a WhatsApp chat. The monster was getting ready to move its first steps! No ice cream in sight.
With unanimous vote, Spectopad is erased from the book in f(l)avor of names that sound incredibly more exciting. Thank the ice cream gods for that. Here are some outstanding examples of ideas:
